I just turned 60 years old and I am one that takes great care of their body and health. I have been an athlete my entire life and I am also a strength and conditioning coach, author and researcher for world class athletes and those who just want to stay healthy and look good. I am diligent about my eating and training.
I would regularly go to the doctor to get a physical. Every year he would ask me if anything had changed year over year. They would weigh me, check my blood pressure, etc. In total I was probably with the doctor for less than 10 minutes of time.
He would then say that they would do a blood panel and get back to me if anything came up. I would receive a copy of the test and so would the doctor. Year over year if I asked him how it compared to the previous years there was no way of knowing. I would receive a bill for close to 1000.00 and then wait until next year to do it all over again. This way of managing my health and performance as an athlete was not enough and was severely lacking.
If 70% of disease is diagnosed through a blood test why am I not paying more attention to both results and changes in the results? It would make sense to pay closer attention so that I would be made aware of these changes and could be more proactive with seeing my doctor and also making lifestyle changes.
I realized the actual cost of the test was small and the ability and peace of mind was of great value.
ProBloodTesting allows you to track your testing. Do it more often during the year and make lifestyle changes to improve performance and health.
I am now using blood testing with my clients. Both athletes, to better determine training strategies, and with my clients in pursuit of optimum health and wellness.
Wishing you well in your health and pursuit of athletic excellence.
